Because it was our last class of the quarter, our teacher Matt Harisson decided to turn it into a holiday party! And it was fun. Everyone either brought something to eat or to drink and we were all allowed to invite friends and family to view everyone's last short film of the year. The films were very good. I was amazed by the quality of work. I was excited to show 'Dust' because I was really proud of it. But I had to wait until everyone else's was shown. When Matt finally popped in my DVD, the movie refused to play!!! I couldn't believe it! Fortunately I had brought my laptop so everyone gathered around me to watch the two minute film. Wow, once again the reaction I was getting from the audience while watching the film felt like I watching it for the first time myself and I realized how good the movie was! Sorry if that sounds arrogant, it just did! Everyone raved about it afterwards and that felt really good! For the second time this year somebody told me they felt like they were watching a 'real' movie and not just a student film.
So, I made 6 films this year and can't wait to start working on a whole bunch of new ones in 2008. But in 2008 I'm making a feature. To be continued ...
