Dust - Short film #6 for 2007

About two weeks ago my teacher gave me a title. With that title I had to create my 4th and last short film for the class. This time there were no specific rules, only that the movie needed to have that title, which in my case was 'Dust'. For the last two weeks I just could not come up with something that wasn't going to be too obvious. Until last Wednesday. I woke up that day and went "I got it!!!". I quickly wrote the script, story boarded it and asked Yohei, my class mate and terrific DP (he did Why Fries Are Bad For You) if he could help me out again. Because the whole short is set in a living room (our living room), I knew we would need lights so Milan helped me out on what to get and what light design to create. The wonderful Carla Valentine (the nurse in Gone) was cast the night before. The shoot went extremely smooth but although the short will only be about two minutes, it still took us a good four hours to shoot everything. I'm not going to tell you what the story is about. You'll have to watch and see for you self ...
