My First two classes ...

... are really good! This week I started two of the three classes I'm taking this summer. One, Making and Marketing the Short Film, is an online class and really cool! They're students in that class from all over the country and even the world! I honestly think I'm one of the only students who is actually in LA! Our first assignment was to watch several short films online, judge them and write a logline for two of them. My second class, Becoming Camera Savvy for Today's Filmmaker, is a little more complex. As a filmmaker I have to admit I'm an idiot when it comes to the technical portion of filmmaking. I know how to tell a story, know exactly how I want my movie to look like and I'm extremely visual, yet, don't ask me what lenses, lights or filters to use, 'cause I won't have an answer!

Next week I'm starting my third class, Making Your First Shortfilm. I know, I know, it won't be my first one, but I figured that if at the end of that class I have a new short film in the can, that just ups my portfolio. Damn, I'm smart!!! :)

Meanwhile, I'm in full research mode for the script I'm writing around Charlotte, first princess of Belgium and last empress of Mexico. Her story is really amazing and would make a perfect movie. I'll tell you more about it in the next few weeks.
