For Your ICE Only - Webisode II Shoot

After numerous rewrites of webisode II, I finally shot it. It turned out to be a big production. I had scouted the campus for locations and stunned by the number of cool buildings and spots. This campus is visually a cinematic heaven!
I always wanted to shoot at Kerckhoff Hall and because the second webisodes takes place in a European castle I had my eye on the Grand Salon. After multiple emails and phone calls, I secured myself a film permit to use the place for a few hours. Total cost: $70.00. Now that I had a great location, I had to fill it up with people! Mark got on the phone and called as many actors as he humanly could. They had all submitted their headshots through LA Casting and I was amazed at how many were interested in just being an extra for this party scene.
The other challenge we were facing was that I didn't want to use any light equipment. I didn't want to lose time in setting up lights so Marq and Milan, with the help of Garen and Andrew, did a phenomenal job with the available natural light. You can't even tell the difference!
The shoot took a little longer than the planned three hours but the result is super. This webisode will probably be the longest one because as it stands it runs at 4 minutes.
Off to the next one!
