Mission Busy Busy Busy

It's Friday before the Oscars and I'm going crazy. I have to direct a comedic scene for my Director's class tomorrow, have one short film due by next Tuesday and I need to shoot the first webisode of 'For Your ICE Only' by next Thursday. Busy, busy, busy indeed. First things first. Tomorrow I'm directing my friends Elender Wall and Seth Harrington in a scene from 'Soapdish', in my Directing Actors For The Screen class. We rehearsed the scene until we dropped and the result will be very good. I learned a very good technique in this class: have your actors improv the whole scene first by having them use their own words. Then speed read the lines. No acting, just going through the lines of the scene. Then have them do the scene. The result is incredible. The actors feel liberated and become the characters.
Sunday morning I'm shooting my second short film for 2008. It's called 'Straight' and involves a therapist and her mysterious patient who desperately wants to be straight. I cast Kristie Gong's (the original Heaven Lee) friend Andy, who just did two promo spots for Soapnet. She's is hilarious and I can't wait to work with her (do a search for the Soapnet SNM spots on Youtube to check her out). Right after the shoot I'm doing a rehearsal with Tina (who was in the first 'The Spy Who Came From Heaven') and Tim (who played Barbara's son in 'Gone'), doing a scene from 'North By Northwest'. This will be the dramatic scene for my directing class.
I just cast Megan Lester as the new Heaven Lee. Megan is a talented actress who is in my Youtube class, for which I have to produce the three first webisodes of 'For Your ICE Only'. I'm hoping to shoot most of the footage for the first webisode by Wednesday, so that I can edit it all Thursday and have it ready by the time I go to class to present it.
Check back next week to get all the details of all of the above!

Ciao ciao

Hey, Maxime, are those bogus spam posts you've got there from "dinos" and "tojagal"?

I notice you don't have the usual "Enter the letters as they appear in the box" safety feature in your comments section. You may need to adjust that in your dashboard settings so that you won't get spammed.

Also, you should be able to delete their comments if they are spam.
